Last week on set in the ATL Drake talked with Mixtape Daily about his Young Money mentor Lil Wayne’s new album The Carter IV, saying that he wasn’t sure if he should be saying anything but that Wayne rapped a couple verses to him over the phone off his new upcoming album and drake was amazed stating that he needs to get his stuff together because Wayne is coming hard when he gets out !!

Drake collaborated with artists such as Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, T.I. and Lil Wayne to create the album. The record sold 447,000 records in its first week, reaching #1 on the Billboard 200, and becoming his first release to do so. Due to these first week sales, Graham has sold the most records for any hip hop artist in one week in 2010. Until Eminem easily passed that mark a week later. DAMMIT EM!!!
Eminem’s collaboration-heavy new album, sold 741,000 copies in its first week of release, making it not only the best debut of the year, but the best album debut since October 2008, when AC/DC’s Black Ice burned up the charts

Honestly Recovery was a Statement Album for Eminem to show that he is back and lyrically beastin anyone that comes in his way. On the other hand Drakes Album was just a introduction into Aubrey’s Game. I guarantee you Drake has 2 more albums on the shelf waiting to be release.

We are still waiting on the first official numbers for the Toronto MC’s big cd release titled Thank Me Later but we have received word that Drakes already been certified platinum in Canada ( 100, 000 units). Congrats to Drake and lets see if he can surpass Maestro’s 190, 000 units sold for his classic disk Symphony in Effect, which featured the hit “ Let your backbone slide” I think with the buzz Drizzy has right now he’s got a good shot at the title . This news was tweeted by 1loveto earlier this morning

We all know a while back that we got use to seeing Drake and Rihanna around each other alot and everytime asked about it both parties would say that there was nothing going on more then a good friendship, well it seems after a recent NY times interveiw thats not so much the case. Heres is an excerpt from the NY times interveiw.
On “The Resistance” he raps about an accidental pregnancy with a woman he was briefly involved with, who chose to end the pregnancy. And on “Fireworks” there’s a verse about Rihanna, who asked him last year to write a song for her new album; the two soon began seeing each other regularly, though they never publicly confirmed their brief relationship.
“I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,” he said. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”
But it’s also the new normal, and Drake wonders if real intimacy is now out of reach, maybe irretrievably so. “Did I sacrifice something?” he asked, looking for the black cloud above the silver lining. “Have I not realized what it is yet because I’m enjoying this too much?”
