i disagree… steady mobbin is a legit track. and if you know wayne at all, its also not even remotely new – or by anyone else but lil wayne. so idk why its on this album, but whateva.

you right overall, tho – this album is great

I too disagree with this review(I use that term loosely). You put two of the best songs as skips, and while none of the gems you listed are bad I wouldn’t call Bedrock a gem. That album was certainly a mediocre start for Young Money as a mainstream “crew”. Wayne ruins one of the best produced tracks on Ms. Parker, with a terrible auto-tune hook and no substances to be had in the lyrical content. Other skip worthy tracks “Girl I Got You”, seriously what the fuck was wayne thinking okaying that shit. “Wife Beater” is a good track minus Weezy on the hook again, same goes for “Gooder”. On a good note “Fuck The Bullshit” is a bright spot. Everyone delivers a solid verse and the beat is crack. Same goes for “Roger That” and “Pass The Dutch”. As for “Steady Mobbin” anyone up on the mixtape game knows that shit goes hard, truly wayne at his best and a good verse from Gucci. Overall it falls way short lyrically, which is shame cause the production is tight and most of the beats go to waste. I also was hoping to see better from Jae Millz and Gudda Gudda, both dropped worthy mixtapes a few months back and I was hoping to see some improvement. Oh, and no one should be sleeping on Tyga, the boys got some real talent peep his mixtapes to find out.

too bad that its an album.
    and I create mixtapes

  4. MF says:

That commit wasn’t aim at you, Im not questioning that you know about mixtapes. Its was just my opinion about the song and the people who know and like it. I do agree with you it isn’t a mixtape, but just take a look at The Carter 3 you could easily call any number of songs on there a mixtape song. Thats Weezy’s style love it or hate it.

  5. WTF says:

That album is a disgrace. The music is worthless and the lyrics are toxic sludge that lack creativity, humanity, beauty or any other redeemable value whatsoever.

What should we expect from a band that advertises what they are about with a ridiculous name and a bling-bling logo that looks like the keychain of a loews theater checkout girl.

It would be laughable if so many young souls weren’t being polluted by it.

    @ WTF:

Did you have anything constructive to say about the topic…
Spewing your own opinions at people in a non informative or constructive manner is a childish thing to do. Which in turn makes you no better then that which you claim to hate. Please get off your high horse and understand not everyone shares your view. I myself prefer a more intelligent form of hip hop, but this is not the place to push that onto others. You clearly can’t appreciate this style of music for what it is or the intended audience.
